Brief information and technical specifications:

About Zenith:

Zenith was established in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot, in Le Locle, in Neuchâtel in Switzerland. Zenith is an extreme luxury brand of a caliber, and quality similar to Rolex, Omega and the top 10 luxury watch brands.

In 1999, Zenith was purchased by the French luxury goods conglomerate LVMH (Louis Vuitton/Moët Hennessy) and Zenith has been a subsidiary of that company ever since.

Zenith has a long history of watchmaking dating back to 1865. Zenith has developed more than 600 different movements and has received over 300 patents. Zenith has won well over 2,000 chronometry prizes in accuracy and precision!

To my knowledge, Zenith is the only Swiss luxury wristwatch brand which uses mechanical/automatic movements that beat at a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour! This is significant because such a high rate of vibrations per hour usually entails a highly (even extremely) accurate automatic/mechanical movement.

Zenith belongs to the absolute elite of Swiss luxury watchmakers – no question about it. Some earlier Rolex watches actually used Zenith movements, which is a testimony to the importance of Zenith.

As far as ranking is concerned, I’d place Zenith among the world’s top 10 luxury wristwatch brands.

About Zenith Defy Classic:

Zenith Defy Classic offers you excellent divers watches with a water resistance of 300 meters/1,000 feet, and the design of Defy Classic is more traditional and conservative than the Defy Xtreme.

Many of Zenith Defy Classic’s divers watches are equipped with chronographs and tourbillons.

Please keep in mind that the Zenith Defy Classic divers watches are very large watches, made of stainless steel, and they come in case sizes (diameters) 46,50mm, and 49mm, which means they will feel quite heavy on the wrist.
